Jeff Bezos

Jeff Bezos was born on January 12, 1964. He is the founder, chairman and CEO of Amazon.com, which became the world’s largest online shopping retailer. Jeff Bezos is a person who believes that diverse experiences are the ones which make a person a true leader. With diverse experience comes the possibility of divergent thinking i.e. thinking about a particular thing from different viewpoints. With divergent thinking comes the possibility of innovation. A leader should always be innovative and should accept all the changes happening around him/her. Hence he/she should have and open mind towards anything and everything. He always focuses on process and not on failure which means he is always positive and motivated in his life and career. Jeff Bezos is the person who invented “Regret Minimization Framework” to decide whether he should continue to be an employee or should become and employer. Jeff Bezos is considered to be a smart worker because in the initial stages he focused on “niche down first to Grow” concept. He always had a proper vision on where he wanted to reach by setting a proper culture of increasing the level of top talent. He continuously recruited many people to raise the bar. Jeff made sure to create a work culture and environment that encouraged less partying, less slacking off and more time spent in the workplace. He also ensured to see things from the customer’s point of view by helping them in making proper buying decisions. Jeff always says that everyone can make mistakes and nobody in the world is perfect. These qualities possessed by Jeff Bezos proves that he is a great visionary and a leader.
